Our last part to the series “Mumbai 2.0- Upgrades in the Infrastructure” talks about the airways as one of the most important pillars of connectivity and infrastructure.

So far in the series MUMBAI 2.0 – UPGRADES IN THE INFRASTRUCTURE, we’ve highlighted the recent and upcoming infrastructural developments in roadways and railways of Mumbai. In the 3^rd part, we are talking about the recent, upcoming and proposed growth on the abundant Mumbai coast.

In continuation to MUMBAI 2.0 – UPGRADES IN THE INFRASTRUCTURE, in this part, we will be talking about the contribution of Mumbai Suburban Railways to the infra growth. Spread over 465 kilometers, the suburban railway operates 2342 train services, carrying more than 7.5 million commuters daily. Since its inception, the railway is playing a key role in the overall infrastructure growth. The rail connectivity, in a lot of ways, has positive effects on all the factors, such as employment, housing, healthcare, and transport.
